{"id":4595,"date":"2013-11-06T18:04:27","date_gmt":"2013-11-07T00:04:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.openairlife.com\/blog\/?p=4595"},"modified":"2013-11-06T18:04:27","modified_gmt":"2013-11-07T00:04:27","slug":"lunafest-fundraising-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.openairlife.com\/blog\/lunafest-fundraising-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Lunafest Fundraising Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"images\/Lunafest_logo_4c.jpg\" alt=\"Lunafest Logo\" width=\"650\" style=\"display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you are looking for something to do this Friday, November 8th that benefits a great cause, get over to LUNAFEST 11th Annual National Touring Film Festival. \u00a0Come enjoy great film, great food from Red Rock Brewery, and great fun. \u00a0Nine films will make you laugh, tug at your heartstrings and motivate you to get involved in your community. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">Hosted by Girls on the Run, an after school youth development program for girls 3\u20138th grade, at the Salt Lake City Public Library, this event is sure to be fabulous. \u00a0 LUNAFEST is a fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women&#8217;s issues, highlighting women filmmakers, and bringing women together in their communities. \u00a0All proceeds from LUNAFEST will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and Girls on the Run Utah.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Girls on the Run mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. \u00a0The 10-12 week curriculum innovatively weaves training for a 5k run with lessons that empower girls to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices and embrace their gifts. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This unique film festival highlights women as leaders in society, illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers.
